Godmothers: Delight in Authentic Italian Cuisine in Cape May

What an absolutely fantastic meal!! Our waitress was so attentive and the food was more than outstanding. My wife and I have traveled throughout Europe, including Italy and France and this restaurant rivals the best. We started with the Oysters, local Cape May Goodies and boy were they good. We also had the Foi Gras which again was cooked to perfection. For our pasta course, it came with Duck Confi and prosciutto. The pasta is all homemade and beautifully done. I was practically licking the plate. For our entrees, my wife got the Snapper and I the Duck Breast topped with another order of Foi Gras. The snapper was crispy and light. The Duck Breast had a fantastic char and super crispy skin. The Foi Gras again was cooked perfectly. We desert, we enjoyed the seasonal crème brulle. Also, the fact that it is a BYOB, means we saved a lot. Rather than buying our 6 espresso martinis and wine, we brought it!! Ultimately, it’s no wonder why this is the highest rated restaurant on Trip Advisor. It totally deserves it!

We did the early bird prix fixe menu and our server was Madeline. The food was exquisite, the service was perfect, and it was evident everything was super intentional. It was byob and they brought out champagne glasses for us noting what we brought, chilled it, and opened it for us. The first, second, and third courses were some of the best food we have ever had. The poke, pan-seared chicken, salmon with risotto, and the lemon bar and flourless brownie were perfect. We will be back - this place is very special!

We had a spectacular meal at GRANA last night. My wife got the chef's menu. Her favorite was the halibut dish. I chose the Spanish Octopus, Radiatore (my favorite) and the pork dish. The waffles with homemade ice cream was delicious, as was the lemon bar. Highly recommend

Chef Carl is awesome, the Grona is my favorite resturant hands down. The food is so amazing and the staff is always pleasant and welcoming. you will never leave hungry or diapointed! highly recomend.

Took my Husband here last Wednesday, 10/08/25, for a nice dinner to celebrate his birthday! We absolutely had a lovely meal! Loved the 3 course meal set up & option for the chefs course! Our food was absolutely mouth watering & so many flavors! Loved the BYOB option so you dont have to spend time searching for a drink. The place is a bit small but still a nice clean & friendly atmosphere!

WOW!!!!! This place was 10/10 FANTASTIC!!! It’s more “fine dining” but it is worth every penny! I cannot tell you enough good things about this. The food and service were equally as good. The first photo is Elk and was to die for. Every dish featured on this review was exquisite. The inside is small and tables are a little too close together, but the food is incredible. We brought bottles of wine in and the staff was accommodating with getting us wine chillers etc. Make a reservation and treat yourself to this place!!

My husband and I came here for my birthday, and the entire experience was truly 10/10. The monkfish was out of this world, and the steak was cooked to a perfect medium-rare—flavorful, tender, and beautifully presented. Every dish we tried was absolutely delicious. One of the unexpected highlights? The cappuccino and espresso at the end of our meal—rich, bold, and actually done right. Most places miss the mark, but Granna clearly knows what they’re doing. Our server was incredibly attentive, knowledgeable, and made the evening feel special from start to finish. We will definitely be back—and I can’t recommend this place enough!

Just had our first (certainly not last!) dinner at Grana yesterday. Service was great: Dan was attentive and explained each of our courses and really got you excited to eat there. My wife ordered Oysters, Beet and Arugula Salad, and Poached Halibut: all were delicious! I did the four-course Chef’s Tasting Menu: Corn Soup, Blackened Scallops, 6 oz Filet and Waffles & Ice Cream. Can’t say enough about how delicious everything was that I ate: the corn soup was perfection and a great way to start the courses. Wonderful restaurant! Will definitely return!
